The Apprentice and Journeymen Training Trust is currently seeking a highly motivated Member Care Representative to join our team. This temporary position has the potential to transition into a rewarding full-time role. As a Member Care Representative at the A&J, you will be at the forefront of our business, providing exceptional support and assistance. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Answering and resolving incoming telephone calls with a smile, ensuring excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Assisting our valued members in signing up for classes online, making their experience seamless and enjoyable.
• Managing general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Utilizing your strong Excel skills to generate insightful reports from our proprietary database, contributing to our data-driven decision-making processes.
• Collaborating with a supportive team, completing various office duties assigned to ensure efficient operations.

• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for every interaction.
• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively engage with the internal team.
• Bilingual in Spanish, enabling seamless communication with Spanish-speaking individuals.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to effectively perform various tasks.
• Experienced in routing incoming and outgoing calls through multi-line phone and computer-based systems.
• Demonstrated ability to greet and assist visitors, maintain visitor logs, and provide directions as needed.
• Motivated and eager to grow professionally within the A&J Training Trust Fund.
• OPEIU Local 537 Union Membership is a plus if being considered for full-time hire.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent/college education preferred.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Customer Service Representative, Receptionist or in a related administrative position. We are open to considering candidates with varying levels of experience to find the best fit for our team.

What We Offer

Competitive salary of $22.50 per hour. 7 am - 3:30 pm (Monday through Friday)

40 hours per week on site.

At The A&J, we take pride in our mission to provide exceptional education and training to apprentices and journeymen in the plumbing, pipefitting, and welding industries throughout Southern California.
