Join our dynamic legal team as a Professional Staffer/Paralegal, where you will play a vital role in supporting a wide range of legal functions across multiple practice areas. Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies across diverse practice areas including estate planning,
  • Assist attorneys with drafting and proofreading legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage and organize case files using document management systems like Smokeball; ensure all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
  • Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and consistency; perform detailed document review to identify pertinent information for cases.
  • oversee calendar entries for court matters and other matters as assigned by the attorneys.
  • Support litigation activities by preparing exhibits, compiling evidence, and assisting with hearing preparation.
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather relevant information while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Maintain meticulous case management records including data entry into legal software systems; track deadlines and court dates diligently.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as filing documents with courts or agencies, managing calendars for court appearances or meetings, and providing executive administrative support as needed.
  • Perform transcription of legal proceedings or client interviews; proofread documents to ensure grammatical accuracy.
  • Support project management initiatives by coordinating tasks across software to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Utilize legal research platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis effectively to gather authoritative information supporting case development.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience with a strong background in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, business law and real estate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools.
  • Proficiency with case management software including Smokeball; familiarity with document review processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence; proofreading abilities essential.
  • Experience with document management systems and data entry tasks within a busy law office environment.
  • Effective interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions.
  • Knowledge of various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent procedures; nice-to-have skills include project management experience and familiarity with litigation processes.
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research and compile comprehensive reports supporting ongoing cases.
  • Administrative experience including filing procedures in courts or agencies; clerical skills such as data entry and record keeping are highly valued.

Pay: $51,877.52 - $70,000.00 per year
