Professional Trucking and Transportation Manager (CDL Required)

Job description: Professional Trucking/Transportation Manager with knowledge of DOT safety and transportation experience.

Shift Schedule: 7-8 hour shift / OVERNIGHT / 8 PM – 4 AM / 6 days

Job Requirements

• 5 years of experience in a leadership, dispatch, or operations position (Required)
• Transportation experience/Truck driving experience w/ CDL (Required)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations at a level that will permit instruction and correction to drivers.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities/ solid basic math skills
• Computer Skills: Excel, Word, E-mail
• Detail oriented with an ability to positively influence others
• An ability to work independently relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish tasks

Job Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day driver dispatch, operations and safety enforcement.
• Scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles or equipment
• Speaking with drivers, and management personnel to resolve problems, prepare deliveries and dispatch accordingly.
• Preparing daily work such as schedules
• Being in charge of communications within company assigned responsibilities
