The Fox Chase Cancer Center is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center recognized for contributions to the knowledge about the causes, treatment, and prevention of cancer. The Population Studies and Research Informatics Facility is a part of the cancer center responsible for solving information management challenges presented by basic, clinical, and population-based research. The Population Studies and Research Informatics Facility is involved in all aspects of designing, developing, and supporting information systems and web applications for research studies and scientific facilities. Successful candidates must be self-directed, open to learning and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Develops, deploys and maintains software that meets the current and future needs of business stakeholders for research informatics systems within the TUHS. Facilitates technical implementation and projects initiatives related to internally developed and 3rd party software in support of organizational goals and objectives. Provides technical customer support, as required.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics or other related field Required
Experience
General Experience and knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, CSS, XML and other relevant technologies Required
General Experience in web application development, software solutions, or database development Preferred
General Experience with customer support Preferred
