Program Analyst - Junior

Position Description:

Outpost Technologies is seeking a Junior Program Analyst to support military test and evaluation. This position will work closely with the Project Manager, Government, and Industry partners to coordinate program activities, maintain schedules, track action items, and support technical documentation efforts. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain exposure to advanced weapon systems development while supporting a critical Army modernization priority.


The Junior Test Engineer/Analyst will assist in developing test plans, coordinating meetings, tracking program metrics, and preparing briefing materials for government customers and industry partners. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholder organizations. The candidate must be adaptable, willing to learn quickly, and able to support fast-paced program execution in a dynamic test environment.


Communication skills and a proactive attitude are strongly desired. The Candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work that supports customer mission success. The Candidate must always present a professional demeanor while representing Outpost Technologies to customers and stakeholders.


The posted compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position. Actual pay will be determined by a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and alignment with internal compensation structures specific to government contracting requirements.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update integrated master schedules, tracking milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across test planning, hardware delivery, and test execution activities.
  • Assist in development of test planning documentation including test procedures, data collection plans, instrumentation requirements, and safety documentation.
  • Support preparation of program status reports, briefing materials, and technical presentations for government customers and senior leadership.
  • Track program budgets, expenditures, contractor deliverables, and performance metrics, flagging issues to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain program documentation including technical reports, test data packages, configuration management records, and contract deliverables.
  • Coordinate logistics for test events including travel arrangements, facility access, and government-furnished equipment availability.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, and track action items to closure across government and contractor stakeholder organizations.
  • Provide on-site support during test events as needed, assisting with data collection, real-time coordination, and problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Active DoW Secret security clearance or ability to obtain within reasonable timeframe.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline), Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related technical/analytical field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in program support, project coordination, systems engineering, test and evaluation, or related roles within defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project or similar scheduling tools).
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work products.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Up to 15% Travel.
  • Current Resident of or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoW Top Secret security clearance.
  • Previous experience supporting missile systems, precision fires, or rocket artillery programs.
  • Background supporting test and evaluation activities including test planning, data collection, range coordination, or test reporting.
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Industrial) from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Experience working with DEVCOM AvMC, PEO Missiles and Space, Army test centers, or similar DoW organizations.
  • Prior military service.
  • Demonstrated initiative in previous roles with examples of proactively identifying problems, proposing solutions, or improving processes.
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience producing formal documentation, technical reports, or standard operating procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments.
