Position Overview

The Program Coordinator, Education, supports the day-to-day coordination and delivery of GlomCon Foundation’s education initiatives. This role provides operational, administrative, and communications support across patient- and physician-focused programs, helping ensure activities run smoothly and deliverables are completed on time.

Working closely with education leadership and cross-functional team members, the Program Coordinator assists with program logistics, participant communications, documentation, reporting, and event coordination. This position does not set strategy but plays an essential execution role across multiple initiatives, requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a remote environment.

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys coordinating programs behind the scenes, supporting collaborative teams, and contributing to mission-driven education work focused on improving kidney health. Please note that some weekend hours are required for this role, particularly Saturday and Sunday mornings, with flex time offered to promote a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Program Coordination

  • Support planning and delivery of education programs
  • Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, webinars, and community education events
  • Prepare program materials, track timelines, and maintain organized documentation
  • Support and coordinate faculty, partners, and collaborators to ensure smooth execution of educational activities
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support consistent program operations

Events & Meetings

  • Coordinate scheduling, agendas, and materials for meetings
  • Take meeting minutes and track action items
  • Assist with speaker logistics and technical setup for virtual programs
  • Ensure post-event follow-up, attendance tracking, and documentation

Communications & Reporting

  • Draft and distribute participant communications, including emails, reminders, announcements and addressing customer support tickets.
  • Support marketing and outreach initiatives, including social media, newsletter distribution, and website updates
  • Track participant engagement metrics and compile basic reports
  • Maintain accurate program files and grant-aligned documentation

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain calendars, task trackers, and shared program resources
  • Track invoices, expenses, and basic budget documentation
  • Ensure post-program deliverables (recordings, reports, attendance logs) are completed on time
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the education team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in nonprofit coordination, program administration, education support, or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or educational programs
  • Comfortable drafting professional email communications and basic reports
  • Familiarity with Zoom or similar virtual platforms and shared project management tools preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Work Environment & Travel

  • This is a remote role that can be performed anywhere in the United States.
  • Ability to work some weekend hours is required to support our global efforts and varying time zones; flexible scheduling will be provided as needed.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
