Positive Recovery currently has 19 locations statewide. We are presently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Program Counselor for our state licensed IOP center in the Coppell area.

Position Description:

The focus of this role is to provide optimum direct clinical services to clients and their families in a safe, comfortable, and substance-free environment. The Program Counselor will assist in the development of tools and strategies for ongoing recovery that promote group healing and understanding among addicted individuals and their loved ones.

Essential Functions:

· Provides individual, family, group, and crisis counseling including educational services to clients and their families.

· Manages an individual caseload of clients and conducts screening evaluations of new cases to determine treatment level and intervention needs.

· Maintains comprehensive clinical documentation for all clients meeting company and regulatory standards.

· Attends monthly meetings, required training

· Maintains a thorough knowledge of the therapeutic techniques and program policies and procedures.

· Coordinates with Program Director to keep all informed of current departmental activities, plans, and developments through both oral and written reports.

· Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a manner that assists the team in achieving positive results.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· One (1) year of direct clinical care experience

· Licensed LCDC, or LCDC-I (level III)

· Desire to work with clients suffering from the disease of addiction.

· Proficient using general computer skills the ability to document case notes daily through electronic medical records programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary will be commensurate with experience. $17.00 -$22.00
