Responsibilities
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements of the project.
- Identifies resources needed and coordinates with departmental leadership as necessary
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing on to customer.
- Follows standard methods and practices with project design, development, and execution.
- Prepares for customer reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Applies change, risk, and resource management on a project.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
- Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
- Manages project budget.
- Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for project.
- Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, rates and utilization.
Financial Management
- Understands basic revenue models, P/L and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
- Understands pricing models and billing procedures.
- Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, rates, and utilization.
- Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.
Business development
- Leads quoting analysis and acts as primary customer interface on new projects and programs.
- Identifies business development and follow-on sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
- Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and level of effort assessments.
- Effectively and professionally drives company positions and objectives when interfacing with potential or existing customers.
Communication
- Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively.
- Holds regular status meetings with project team.
- Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general customer news.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to management.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Able to professionally communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Technical Understanding
- Possesses general understanding of electronics and contract manufacturing
- Understands Internet, intranet, extranet and customer/server architectures.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of internal capabilities.
- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on customer programs.
Leadership
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of ERP systems a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent difficult and awkward working positions are required. Frequent bending and squatting is required. Working overhead, or under equipment or lying or sitting on the floor is required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Operation of or proximity to materials and mechanical parts, most commonly moving machinery used in manufacturing of electronic & cable products. OSHA approved safety glasses with side shields are provided by EmCom at no cost to employees. ANSI Z87-2 prescription glasses will be provided to the employee at no cost. The noise level in the building is moderate, hearing protection is available to employees. Some processes use leaded and unleaded solder chemistry. Proper ventilation and Personal Protective Equipment is provided.
