Job Summary The Customer-Focused IT Program Manager oversees and delivers large-scale technology programs while acting as the primary bridge between customers, business stakeholders, and internal technical teams. This role ensures customer needs are understood, expectations are managed, and solutions are delivered with high quality, transparency, and professionalism. --- Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the entire program lifecycle. Understand customer requirements, translate them into actionable program plans, and ensure alignment with technical teams. Lead customer meetings, presentations, and status reviews with clear, concise communication. Manage expectations by setting realistic timelines, defining deliverables, and providing proactive updates. Build strong customer relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction. Coordinate cross-functional teams—including engineering, product, QA, support, and vendors—to ensure seamless delivery. Identify program risks early and communicate them effectively to both customers and internal leaders. Resolve escalations quickly and professionally while maintaining trust and credibility. Track progress, milestones, and dependencies across multiple projects within the program. Ensure delivered solutions meet quality standards, business needs, and customer expectations. Prepare customer-facing reports, dashboards, and documentation. Foster a culture of clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. --- Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field. 5–10+ years of IT project/program management experience with direct customer interaction. Proven experience leading enterprise programs with customer-facing responsibilities. Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation. Strong ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Experience managing customer escalations with a calm, solution-oriented approach. Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud technologies, and software development processes.
