We are looking for someone to join our team who has the desire in learning and understanding the operational functions of a Behavioral Health Agency.


This position is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm


This position is in person. Remote opportunities are approved by executive team.

At least 4 years of experience

Mobile Crisis Certification for Adult and Child

QMHP license provided by Virginia Board of Counseling


JOB DESCRIPTION


JOB TITLE: Program Manager/Director Crisis Services Only


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director or Designee


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of CHCG's Intensive In-home Services, mental health skill building and community crisis programs
  • Assesses service capacity and staffing needs ; ensures adequate staffing patterns Selects program staff
  • Assigns cases and other duties to program staff Trains new staff members and provides weekly training of staff members
  • Evaluates staff performance quarterly Takes appropriate employee disciplinary actions
  • Meets with staff weekly and provides staff with information about Common Health Counseling Group, LLC policies and procedures, community resources, the policies and practices of relevant State and local agencies, and any other information which affects staff duties
  • Identifies and resolves problems with service delivery
  • Intervenes to resolve staff disagreements and ensure harmonious, productive work relationships among staff
  • Approves all policies and procedures ; Works hand and hand with Managing Partners on all personnel decisions, including position appointments, terminations, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and statutes
  • Oversees evaluations of service effectiveness and efficiency
  • Accepts and responds to both routine and emergency referrals
  • Obtains demographic and clinical information from referral source
  • Contacts client, caregiver(s), and/or family as applicable to provide them with service information
  • Oversees the management of client and personnel records
  • As needed, participates in all assessment and planning meetings
  • Determines whether referral meets admission criteria
  • Documents screening and admission processes
  • Coordinates with other involved service providers
  • Conducts new hire training and annual training for all employees
  • Works hand and hand with the Family Support QMHP-A with marketing tasks
  • Represents organization at Local Human Rights Committee meetings
  • Responsible for reviewing and signing off on all progress notes, services plans, monthlies, discharge plans and prior authorization extensions
  • Participates in weekly clinical treatment meeting
  • Performs monthly quality assurance for clients
  • Ensures chart audit findings/discrepancies are corrected in the file within 7 days of notification date provided by QA personnel
  • Completes required 15 hours of professional training per year. Training hours can include but are not limited to the following: documentation of orientation, in-service training, and training at other places of employment. Classes taken should all be documented on a training form. All outside training must be approved by the Managing Partner


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree; four years of experience providing mental health treatment to troubled children and families; two years of experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff; and two years of progressively responsible experience in the area of program design and development, program management, and staff supervision. Mobile Crisis for Adults and Children, and valid QMHP licensing through Virginia Board of Counseling.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to set strategic objectives for mid-size social service organization; skills in program development and design and the implementation of program budgets; working knowledge of human services system, roles of human services personnel, and relevant community resources; ability to screen, hire, manage, and evaluate staff; ability to conduct and facilitate meetings; knowledge of the principles and techniques of individual and family counseling; ability to maintain effective working relationships with other social services providers, service purchasers, and clients; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Contractors or employees must pass a State Police Criminal Record Check, Department of Social Services Record and FBI Checks. The contractors or employees are also required to complete a Tuberculosis Screening Test upon employment and every year thereafter. Contractors and employees shall be provided training in behavior management, CPR, and first aid upon employment or any contractual services.


Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year starting
