We are hiring an experienced and motivated Program Manager to lead the daily operations of a residential mental health treatment program serving adults in Los Angeles County.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong behavioral health leader who is passionate about mental health recovery, staff development, operational excellence, and creating a safe, supportive, and structured residential treatment environment.

Our program supports adults transitioning from higher levels of psychiatric care and focuses on stabilization, recovery, life skills, structure, and community reintegration. We are seeking a calm, organized, solutions-oriented leader who can effectively support both clients and staff while maintaining high operational and compliance standards.

IMPORTANT LOCATION REQUIREMENT - Reliable ability to commute to the 90049 area is extremely important for this role.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Overseeing daily operations of a residential behavioral health treatment program
  • Leading, coaching, supporting, and managing behavioral health staff and supervisors
  • Managing staffing schedules, operational coverage, and employee accountability
  • Assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Supporting compliance with California behavioral health and residential care regulations
  • Maintaining strong documentation, reporting, and operational workflows
  • Helping create a positive, recovery-oriented, and professional treatment environment
  • Coordinating with clinical teams, case managers, outside providers, and community partners
  • Responding to operational issues, incidents, and crisis situations as needed
  • Supporting quality assurance, organization, and overall program structure

Ideal Background - We are specifically seeking candidates with prior experience in:

  • Residential mental health treatment programs
  • Behavioral health operations and leadership
  • Crisis residential treatment settings
  • Adult residential facilities
  • Medi-Cal behavioral health environments
  • Program supervision or behavioral health management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Program Manager, Program Director, Operations Manager, Executive Director, or similar leadership role
  • Experience within California residential mental health or behavioral health programs
  • Familiarity with DSS, DHCS, DMH, or related behavioral health regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and crisis management skills
  • Experience with staffing coordination, onboarding, scheduling, and employee supervision
  • Comfortable working in high-acuity behavioral health environments
  • Experience with EMR systems and behavioral health documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, behavioral health, or related field preferred
  • Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.) is a plus but not required

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass Live Scan fingerprint/background clearance
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be comfortable working fully on-site
  • Some on-call availability may be required for operational support

Compensation & Benefits

  • $75,000–$90,000 annually depending on experience
