Program Manager, Youth Development Center
Position Reports To: Director, Student and Family Services


POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager supports the Director in launching and operating the Youth Development Center (YDC). This role focuses on operationalizing the Director’s vision by coordinating programs, managing membership systems, supervising staff, and ensuring that youth participation is connected to CEB’s cradle-to-career pipeline goals. The Program Manager helps create a safe, engaging, and consistent environment for youth while building strong relationships with students, families, and partners.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Opening Engagement & Planning

  • Support the Director in planning and coordinating pre-opening activities, including staff recruitment, membership systems, and facility readiness.
  • Lead student and family outreach to build excitement, establish early enrollment, and prepare for strong participation at launch.
  • Set up data collection and enrollment systems that align with CEB’s organizational pipeline.

Program Coordination

  • Implement programs across academic support, enrichment, leadership, and wellness in line with the Director’s strategic plan.
  • Monitor attendance and engagement, ensuring students are consistently connected to CEB’s services.
  • Track program activities and prepare reports on participation, outcomes, and impact.

Membership & Engagement

  • Manage YDC membership processes to ensure accurate enrollment, attendance, and data integration.
  • Maintain direct relationships with students and families to encourage ongoing engagement.
  • Support strategies that increase participation and ensure youth are connected to CEB’s cradle-to-career goals.

Staff & Volunteer Support

  • Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and supervising YDC staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Reinforce program standards, safety, and youth development best practices.
  • Community & Partner Relations
  • Represent the YDC in a supportive role with parents, schools, and community organizations.
  • Help coordinate services with external partners to ensure students and families receive wraparound supports.
  • Support Director in developing and maintaining community partnerships.
  • Operations & Administration
  • Manage daily operations of the YDC facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and readiness.
  • Support budget tracking and supply management as directed by the Director.
  • Maintain membership, attendance, and outcome data within CEB systems.


Youth Development

  • Foster a positive, welcoming environment that promotes belonging, growth, and leadership.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, encouraging participation in academic, social, and career readiness activities.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in youth programming, community engagement, or nonprofit operations.
  • Experience with membership systems and youth/family engagement.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, supervise staff, and track program participation.
  • Commitment to CEB’s mission and cradle-to-career pipeline.
