Program Operations Manager

Engagement Type: Part-Time

Time Commitment: Approximately 20 hours/week maximum during active programming

Compensation: $25/hour

Start Date: June 2026

Location: Hybrid (based in Indianapolis)

Reports to: Program Director

*This role is aligned with the school-year program calendar (January - May and August - December). Hours may decrease or pause during summer months unless additional program contracts are secured.*

Overview:

​The Program Operations Manager is the operational backbone for our programs, including IT Girl Clubs, within their assigned city. Reporting to the Program Director, this role owns the execution, coordination, and logistics of programming, ensuring facilitators, materials, schedules, partners, and volunteers (if applicable) are fully prepared. This role will work directly with our Program Director to develop the program delivery agenda and materials and liaise/coordinate with partners, facilitators, and volunteers (if applicable) to ensure successful program delivery. The Program Operations Manager is accountable for the successful execution of monthly IT Girl Club sessions or other programs at assigned schools or in communities, ensuring all logistical, staffing, and operational elements are completed on time and to standard. Key Responsibilities:

Program Management, Operations & Logistics:

  • In collaboration with the Program Director effectively plan and execute in-person program sessions led by facilitators, managing all logistics from start to finish to ensure everything runs smoothly and students have a great experience
  • In collaboration with the Program Director support the progress of the school partner on-boarding checklist materials that include consent waivers, student information, technology materials, consumables, and other required materials
  • Manage and support program facilitators to deliver successful programming by:
  • Acting as point of contact for assigned schools for coordination of facilitators, program schedules, off-site field trips, etc.
  • Maintaining program calendars and deadlines
  • Having consistent communications with facilitators and to ensure readiness and successful execution of program activities
  • Facilitate programs if/when unforeseen circumstances requires facilitators to not be present
  • Manage the volunteer pool to ensure understanding of their responsibilities pre, during, and after session and ensure their readiness.

Program Data Collection & Evaluation:

  • Manage and track facilitator collection of student information, including program attendance and engagement at the end of each session.
  • ​Track and collect student projects and artifacts from programs at the end of the each session or semester

Student Culture, Learning & Outcomes Management:

  • Set expectations for a classroom culture that reflects TNIG’s values and ensure facilitators are meeting expectations
  • Routinely analyze data and LMS assets to evaluate student engagement and successful delivery of program.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in technology, education, organizational leadership or related field
  • At least 5 years of program management experience in the nonprofit, technology, or education sector
  • A strong passion for the nonprofit's mission and commitment to creating a positive impact within the community.
  • Comfortable representing an organization in the community
  • Experience organizing and supporting community events
  • Detail-oriented and data-loving
  • Excellent organizational and management skills to oversee multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships and represent the organization professionally.
  • Ability to collaborate with and work effectively on a multicultural team
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate effectively
  • Ability to receive feedback and engage in continuous self-improvement
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly-changing and often ambiguous work environment
  • Firm belief in personal accountability, producing measurable outcomes, and sustaining high expectations
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, , and Learning Management Systems
  • Experience working in a remote environment and use of requisite tools (i.e. video conferencing, messaging, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes:

  • An enthusiastic leader passionate about equity, education and technology, and eager to help shape the future of students
  • Adept at relationship building and community engagement
  • Familiarity with local technology or education resources and networks within the community is advantageous.
  • High comfort level with technology and/or technology concepts
  • Fundamental understanding of core technology concepts:
  • AI, HTML/CSS, Data Science, Cybersecurity, UX/UI Design
  • Background in student learning, pedagogy and/or curriculum development
  • Background in management, workshop / classroom facilitation and/or professional development
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service and community relationship-building abilities
  • PMP certification

Commitment:

  • Part-time role
  • Maximum 20 hours per week
  • Primary work schedule 9:00AM - 1:00PM
  • Hybrid schedule; required travel to program sites

Compensation:

  • $25/hour, 20 hours a week
  • This role is classified as a W-2 position
