Position Summary
The Program Supervisor supports the administration of the client’s Self-Determination Program (SDP) and provides direct care in the family home and community. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, training, and supervising direct service staff to implement the client’s behavioral goals; attending IPP and budget meetings with the Regional Center; as well as supporting annual budget planning, budget revision, and resource allocation.
This position supports a single 18 year-old client with minimal challenging behaviors and no aggression, who is focused on increasing his independence and autonomy.
The client is supported by a full care team, including a BCBA, Program Supervisor, BT's, and caregivers, which is overseen by the parents of the client served. This is a W2 position, eligible for full benefits. The employer of record is a Financial Management Services (FMS), who provides payroll services for the family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct Client Services
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
- Provide direct client care
- Support the client with completing ADLs
- Under direct supervision of a BCBA, write meaningful behavioral goals
- Train and provide ongoing support to direct care staff to ensure fidelity of program implementation
Documentation
- Complete daily session notes
- Report progress, concerns, and significant events in a timely manner
- Review data from staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Complete all documentation necessary to maintain funding sources
- Write annual and bi-annual reports, providing sound rationale for all service requests
Program Administration
- Work collaboratively with direct-care staff, BCBAs, the client’s family, and interdisciplinary team members
- Lead weekly team meetings & training sessions
- Attend IPP meetings with the Regional Center
- Participate in updates to the client’s SDP budget and spending plan
- Communicate with family and staff on a regular basis to plan direct-care staffs’ schedules
- Advocate for the client and family during meetings with external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with external providers to ensure consistency of strategies in response to challenging behavior across all settings
- Communicate professionally, respectfully, and clearly at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of background check
- At least 3 years of experience providing direct client ABA services
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience working with Regional Centers and familiarity with California’s Self-Determination Program
- A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
- CA Driver’s License, auto insurance, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in ABA, behavioral science, psychology or a related field
- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals who utilize AAC devices and other alternative forms of communication and assistive technology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of California’s Self Determination Program and experience in creating Individualized Personal Plans and annual Spending Plans
- Ability to collaborate with the client and their family in a supportive and professional manner at all times
- Strong observational and data collection skills
- Fluency in creating client behavioral support plans
- Ability to communicate verbal and written instructions clearly and concisely to support consistent program implementation across providers
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal sills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and professionally
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
