About the Role:

We’re hiring Programmatic SEO Specialists to help us scale a portfolio of US-based consumer chat & connection brands (anonymous phone chat lines – non-explicit, PG-13 positioning only).

You’ll work across 5 main brands (mainstream, LGBTQ, Black community, Latino/bilingual, late-night chat) and be responsible for turning our SEO roadmap into repeatable systems:

  • City/state/“near me” templates
  • Identity/persona pages
  • Internal link logic
  • Content spreadsheets and upload pipelines

This is not a “publish 5 blogs a month” role. This is for someone who loves large sites, templates, variables, and scale.

What You’ll Do

1. Programmatic Architecture & Templates

  • Help design and refine brand-specific templates for:
  • City pages
  • State hubs
  • “Near me” pages
  • Identity/persona pages
  • Comparison & authority pages
  • Translate SEO rules into structured templates (titles, metas, H1s, schema, FAQs, internal link blocks, persona copy blocks).
  • Work with devs/implementers to ensure templates are mobile-first, fast, and non-explicit.

2. Content Databases & Page Generation

  • Build and maintain master spreadsheets/databases (Sheets/Airtable, etc.) for:
  • City / state coverage maps
  • URL slugs, titles, metas, intros, internal link targets
  • Programmatic variables (city, state, persona type, language, cultural cues).
  • Prepare clean upload-ready CSVs / data sources for CMS or custom tooling.
  • Work with content writers to define what is fixed vs variable and keep brand personas consistent.

3. Scaling Local & “Near Me” Clusters

  • Plan and execute rollouts like:
  • 20–50 new city pages per brand per month
  • US-wide state hub coverage
  • 100+ “near me” pages across brands
  • Identity & emotional intent pages (loneliness, late-night, LGBTQ safety, Black community, Latino bilingual, etc.).
  • Ensure every generated page respects our rules:
  • No parasite SEO
  • No shared templates between brands
  • Clear hero phone number & safety messaging.

4. Internal Link Logic at Scale

  • Design and maintain linking rules (not just individual links):
  • City → State → Coverage → Trial → Authority
  • Authority → Priority city pages
  • Identity/intent pages → trial + relevant cities
  • Work with implementers to turn these rules into modules or automation, not one-off manual work.
  • Regularly audit internal links for orphans, loops, and missed opportunities.

5. Technical & On-Page Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Tech/SEO Lead on:
  • Sitemaps (city, state, guides, comparison, “near me”)
  • Canonicals and indexation for large clusters
  • Robots.txt & crawl paths to support scale.
  • Ensure templates support:
  • FAQ / HowTo / LocalBusiness / Breadcrumb schema
  • Fast Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, TTFB targets).
  • Work inside the CMS to verify generated pages render correctly on mobile and match persona/brand.

6. Reporting, QA & Iteration

  • Use GSC + Sheets to track:
  • Page 2–3 keywords ready for a programmatic push
  • Coverage gaps (missing cities, states, personas)
  • Performance of different templates/title patterns.
  • Run spot checks on random batches of new pages:
  • Correct data population
  • Non-duplicate intros
  • Correct internal links & CTAs
  • Non-explicit language & correct brand voice.
  • Suggest template-level experiments (new snippet patterns, intro structures, FAQ modules) and roll them out in controlled batches.

You’re a Great Fit If You

  • Have 4–6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with proof of working on large or programmatic sites (hundreds/thousands of URLs).
  • Have managed or contributed to local/multi-location SEO at scale (city/state/“near me” structures).
  • Are comfortable using spreadsheets as your main weapon:
  • Google Sheets / Excel
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, CONCAT, basic formulas, filters, pivot logic.
  • Understand how to turn a roadmap into:
  • Templates → CSVs → Hundreds of consistent pages.
  • Can read GSC, basic analytics tools, and site crawlers (Screaming Frog/Sitebulb) and convert data into structured actions.
  • Write and think in fluent, natural American English and can adapt tone for different personas (LGBTQ safety, Black community, Latino bilingual, late-night, mainstream, etc.).
  • Are okay working on adult-adjacent / dating / chat brands as long as it’s PG-13, non-explicit.
  • Enjoy systems, checklists, and repeatable processes more than one-off “creative campaigns”.

Bonus Points If You

  • Have worked on:
  • Marketplace/local service sites
  • Travel, directories, classifieds, or other heavily geo-based SEO.
  • Have experience with:
  • Programmatic SEO tooling
  • Low-code/no-code stacks (Airtable, Make, Zapier, etc.)
  • Basic HTML and schema implementation.
  • Can write simple Google Apps Script / Python snippets or are willing to learn just enough to automate boring stuff.
  • Have managed US consumer traffic in niches like dating, local services, or entertainment.
