About the Role:
We are looking for a Talented, Competitive and motivated Program Officer to support the design, implementation, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation of the projects with pivotal focus on public health in eye care. The role primarily involves coordinating and converging with government health departments, community stakeholders for the strengthening eye care systems. The individual will work closely with the core program team and the team on the field and will oversee the project activities and monitor the deliverables on a regular basis. The Program Officer should work towards the mission of eliminating avoidable blindness in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation & Coordination
· Support planning, implementation and supervision of the projects
· Converge and Coordinate with Associate Hospitals and the Local governing health bodies to strengthen eye health care at the grass root level
· To ensure program/project activities align with national eye health strategies (NPCBVI) and Global Initiatives
· Organise outreach activities, primary eye screenings, oversee awareness campaigns and capacity building of the field staff
Technical Support:
· Provide Technical Support to the program team on new project initiatives aligned with public health eye care.
· Facilitate training for the various stakeholders who are directly and indirectly connected to the project( Teachers, Local Health Workers, Community Volunteers) on importance primary eye care and referral pathway
· Support integration of eye health care into primary eye services
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:
· Collect, Analyse and Reporting of program data through the home-grown VFI Software.
· Keep track of the data and align it with the program objectives, outputs, outcomes and the Key Performance Indicators
· Support in development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks with the program team for various projects
· Prepare progress and interim reports, articulate case stories and testimonials in convergence with the communications officer for internal purpose and external stakeholders and donors.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Masters in Public Health, Epidemiology with 1 to 2 years of work experience
· Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of any stream
· Core Competencies
a) Knowledge of National and Global public health strategies preferably eye care
b) Experience in data collection, analysis and reporting
c) Strong Project Management and Coordination Skills
Excellent Communication and Partnership Building abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
