Programming Librarian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Programming Librarian to join our vibrant library team. Duties

• Design, implement, and evaluate a wide range of educational and recreational programs that cater to various age groups and interests, including digital literacy workshops, Toddler Time, Summer Reading Program, and guest speakers.
• Manage collection development related to programming materials, digital resources, and multimedia content, ensuring proper cataloging and metadata standards are maintained.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with research inquiries, technology support, and resource navigation.
• Maintain accurate records of program attendance, feedback, and data management to inform future planning.
• Promote library programs through social media management, community outreach efforts, and internal communication channels.

Experience

• Demonstrated ability in budgeting for programs and managing project timelines effectively using project management tools.
• Experience in planning, preparing, and implementing programs and instructional lessons.
• Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as social media platforms for outreach purposes while maintaining high standards of data collection and research integrity.
