Project Architect- Minimum 10 years local experience

Role and Responsibilities

Working closely with the Director and Senior Associates, the Project Architect will lead and deliver project documentation, coordination, and management across all stages of small to large-scale mixed-use and residential projects in Dubai. The role requires recognized technical expertise in planning, construction, building codes, and local regulatory compliance. The Project Architect will oversee projects collaboratively with the project team and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to design intent, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

He/She will be required to:

· Be able to manage the project either single handed or within team environment.

· Must understand the entire process thoroughly beginning to end.

· Act as Project Leader, working closely with Director, Senior Management, and the project team.

· Oversee technical project development throughout the project lifecycle, including meetings with clients and consultants.

· Provide updates to the Director and Senior Associates on project progress, design development, and deliverables.

· Manage consultant contracts, administration, and client liaison effectively.

· Supervise the preparation of design and construction documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards and design intent.

· Review and provide expert guidance on technical designs, specifications, reports, and change orders

· Review highly technical designs, plans, specifications, reports, and change orders, providing expert advice.

· Perform independent investigations and architectural analyses, reviewing calculations, estimates, and reports.

· Prepare, develop, and seal construction documentation, including design modifications.

· Represent the firm in meetings with authorities, consultants, and statutory bodies

· Participate in coordination meetings, resolve technical issues, and ensure schedule compliance

· Attend site reviews, on-site meetings, and project meetings, documenting observations and ensuring schedule adherence.

· Prepare workflows for the project team and report performance and productivity to Senior Associates or Office Manager.

· Ensure quality control and quality assurance across all projects, guaranteeing timely delivery.

· Prepare detailed project deliverables, including number of drawings, associated timelines, and costs during proposals and post-award.

· Maintain professionalism and strong presentation standards at all times

Key requirement

· Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Dubai’s development and construction sector

· Strong knowledge and understanding of Dubai’s design, regulatory, and development approval processes, including authority submissions and final project approvals

· Proven ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion

· In-depth knowledge of rules, codes, and regulations issued by Dubai Municipality, Development Authorities (DA), and other statutory bodies.

· Mandatory professional registrations:

- Society of Engineers – UAE

- Dubai Municipality

- Relevant Development Authorities and statutory bodies

· Proactive, client-facing approach, anticipating next steps and managing client expectations.

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with proven ability to mentor project teams.

· Demonstrated ability to ensure projects meet all design, regulatory, and client requirements

Qualifications, Education and professional Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Equivalent

Minimum 10+ years’ experience in medium to large-scale mixed-use and residential projects, specifically within Dubai.
