Job Summary
Are you a Maui-based administrative professional with strong technical skills able to make independent decisions and take direction, coordinate varied and complex work assignments, and interact tactfully and effectively with staff, stakeholders, and the public? If so, this position with a focus on conference and event management may be a good fit for you!

In-person attendance is required at our Kihei office during regular business hours and is limited to Maui residents.

Technical Skills

  • Adept working in a cloud-based environment using Office365, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and Google Workspace
  • Experience with data management software and tools
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • WordPress with working knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media content planning a plus

  • Polished and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and problem-solve in fast-paced situations
  • Skilled collaborator able to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude

Responsibilities of the Position: This high-energy position performs conference and event related duties including:

  • Providing administrative assistance to project team members in the planning and execution of conferences, workshops, and events
  • Utilizing data management software and tools to facilitate various aspects of the planning process
  • Tracking project tasks, milestones, and deadlines to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
  • Handling correspondence, emails, and communication within the team and with external stakeholders
  • Assisting with event promotion in social media channels and through direct marketing
  • Assisting with event logistics, including travel arrangements, accommodation, and communication
  • Assisting with management of webinars and in-person events – registration, room setup, AV equipment, webinar execution, catering
  • Providing on-site conference support, including registration check-in, attendee assistance, and troubleshooting issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
