We are looking to build a new Drupal website and are seeking a developer who not only understands Drupal fundamentals but can deliver a polished, engaging front-end experience. Our creative team values detail, responsiveness, and interactivity in every user touchpoint. Our team operates on East Coast (U.S.) hours, and we’re looking for someone who can provide flexibility to meet during these hours when needed.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Drupal Developer with strong front-end animation and micro interaction skills. The ideal candidate has experience theming in Drupal and is comfortable crafting smooth, intuitive interactions that enhance usability and bring a modern feel to the site. We aim to include a scalable, search-optimized platform to support SEO discoverability and campaign flexibility. We are looking to start this project in September.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and customize Drupal themes using Twig, SCSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement front-end animations and micro interactions (hover states, transitions, form feedback, navigation cues).
• Leverage libraries such as GSAP or similar for complex, performance-optimized animations.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure interactions support user experience goals rather than decoration.
• Present and explain design/animation choices, ensuring alignment with UX intent.
• Deliver clean, maintainable code that integrates seamlessly with Drupal’s framework.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Drupal theming and front-end development.
• Proven ability to implement modern UI/UX micro interactions using CSS transitions, JavaScript, or animation frameworks (GSAP, Framer Motion, etc.).
• Understanding of UX-driven development, balancing visual appeal with performance and accessibility.
• Portfolio demonstrating interactive components and micro interactions you have built.
• Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser testing.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance optimization.
