Position: Project Buyer
Reporting to : Sr Manager Sourcing and Purchase (GBO/CPS Business Unit)
Location : Manesar
Role priorities:
Purchasing :
-
To buy Project material and components fulfilling specifications with associated services in a planned and structured way in ERP to the lowest total cost and risks according to defined demands in our projects.

Close co-ordination with another Project team for timely execution and highlighting risks and budget deviations wherever necessary.

Arrange & Lead weekly/monthly meetings with major fabricators to discuss progress and other issues along with other project team.

Make sure that purchases and deliveries are executed in line with project plans and fully support the progress of the projects.

Together with the purchasing team develop and maintain the information platform of our suppliers and the products.

Execute transport as order freight, packing list ,custom invoices

Take care of project documentation internal/external in customer portal.

In detail the authorities are defined in CPS documented Authority rules.

When not clearly specified act with best for the projects and CPS generally.

In all aspects act in line with CPS Policies, relevant legislation and with best for CPS.
Abilities
Excellent skills required in the following area:
-
Should Have completed B.E/B Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5-8 years’ experience as project Buyer

Fluent in English, both writing and speaking, business English is meriting.

Exposure to work with European teams and suppliers

Good knowledge of steel fabrication and techno-commercial purchases

Experience in computer knowledge, MS Office and ERP systems

High focus on results and target oriented with a business mind

Have structured mind and ability to make correct prioritization when required

Not intimidated by anyone in negotiations or elsewhere

Experience of similar purchasing
