Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for engineering, construction, and maintenance activities. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all engineering efforts are efficiently coordinated, delivered on time, and meet the necessary quality standards.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage internal master schedules for data centre projects, integrating all phases including design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Develop, establish, and manage the project's baseline schedule along with the EPC contractor in alignment with the approved scope, contractual requirements, and project execution strategy. Define the complete work breakdown structure (WBS), activity sequencing, durations, resource requirements, and key milestones to create a realistic and achievable baseline.
  • Identify critical path activities and milestones, ensuring that potential scheduling conflicts or delays are identified early. Conduct Critical Path Analysis to identify high risk activities and monitor such Critical Path activities to avoid delays in the project completion dates.
  • Prepare comprehensive 4 week, 8 week, and 12 week lookahead schedules and actively coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure readiness for all upcoming works.
  • Monitor and track project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performances forecasted outcomes. Update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance, productivity levels, and forecasted outcomes. Identify deviations, delays, and potential risks early by reviewing schedule variances and critical path impacts. Recommend practical corrective actions, coordinate with discipline teams to implement recovery strategies, and make real time schedule adjustments as required to maintain control and ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct regular and structured site visits to verify actual construction progress against the approved schedule and planned look ahead activities. Assess work fronts, manpower deployment, equipment availability, and material readiness to identify potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks early. Engage with site engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors to understand field constraints, evaluate risks, and address issues proactively.
  • Develop realistic short term and long term forecasts based on current performance trends, risks, and opportunities, providing early warnings and actionable insights to project leadership.
  • Identify schedule changes (due to any form of change), assess their impact on timelines, and communicate necessary adjustments to relevant teams. Update and re baseline the schedule whenever necessary, through a formal change control process to ensure accurate performance measurement and transparent project reporting.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in data centers, critical infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of resource loading in project schedules
  • Experience with engineering and construction workflows, particularly in data center or critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret project data and timelines.
  • Familiarity with data center industry standards and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA 942).
  • Certifications such as PMI SP (Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus.
