Dobco, Inc. is a leading public works General Contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, large-scale projects across New Jersey and beyond. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Controls Manager to join our team at our corporate office in Wayne, NJ.

Position Overview
The Project Controls Manager will play a critical role in managing and resolving construction claims, with a strong focus on delay analysis, cost tracking, and dispute resolution. This individual will collaborate closely with project teams, executives, and legal counsel to evaluate claims, identify risks, and provide strategic recommendations for resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent claims reviews and detailed CPM schedule delay analyses.
  • Compare baseline schedules against executed schedules to evaluate potential claims and delays.
  • Investigate causes of delay impacts and calculate associated damages.
  • Assess escalation costs related to labor wage increases and material price fluctuations.
  • Prepare and present findings, reports, and graphics to stakeholders, including executives and legal teams.
  • Attend meetings, mediations, and arbitrations to provide expert analysis and testimony.
  • Track and monitor damages, project costs, and back charges related to subcontractor defaults, defective work, or breaches of contract.
  • Provide claims support and contract advice across multiple active projects.
  • Participate in project and contract close-out processes.
  • Visit active construction sites as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism while operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in construction claims and project controls.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and other relevant project management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide examples of prior written work.
  • Deep understanding of claims methodologies, productivity loss analysis, contract interpretation, and architectural/engineering drawings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
