Job Title: Project Coordinator – Commercial Furniture

Common Sense Office Furniture and Boomerang Office Furniture are looking for a Project Coordinator to partner with our Sales Team and coordinate commercial furniture projects from initial order through installation. As a full-service dealership with warehouses in Pennsauken, NJ and Orlando, FL, we serve clients across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast — including multi-location customers who count on us as a single source. Key Responsibilities:
- Convert sales orders upon sign-off and enter into our CORE V system
- Initiate deposit requests from clients
- Submit purchase orders to vendors and gather vendor acknowledgments
- Track order progress; check acknowledgments for discrepancies and resolve
- Note product shipped and track critical items; re-order or repair damaged product
- Work with clients for balance due prior to delivery
- Approve invoices for payment and orders for billing
- Partner with the Install Manager to ensure installs have everything needed (drawings, product, logistics)
- Take calls from day-to-day clients and order products as needed
- Print installation drawings and ship/track packages to clients and vendors
- Maintain appearance of the in-office showroom, conference room, and kitchen
- Light phone reception and general administrative support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (design or business-related field a plus), or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of related experience (furniture, interior design, construction, or commercial project coordination preferred)
- Contract furniture or dealer industry experience a strong plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; basic CAP 20/20 and CORE software knowledge a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and installers
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Project management certification (CAPM, PMP) a plus but not required
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
