Overview
First Phase Strategies is an Indianapolis-based consultancy specializing in resident relocation for the apartment industry across the United States. We are a small team of professionals who pride ourselves on providing the best possible customer service experience for our diverse clients. We are looking to expand our team of problem solvers with another organized, creative thinker who anticipates concerns and can independently act on solutions.

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for a full-time position in Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will gain experience coordinating Uniform Relocation Act (URA) compliant relocations during multifamily renovation projects both on-site and remotely. Travel is required for this role. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and documenting projects while maintaining communication with all parties involved. Time in the field may be physically demanding, requiring the Project Coordinator to be on their feet most of the day. Industry-specific training will be provided on the job, but a background in sales, real estate, or property management may be helpful. The ability to think on your feet, communicate well with others, and lead by example are crucial to success in this role. This role is on our “Strategy Execution” team and reports to multiple project managers within the organization.

Key Responsibilites

  • Coordinating resident relocation plans by communicating with property staff, vendors, and residents
  • Providing advisory services to residents navigating a relocation
  • Managing vendor contracting, budgeting, and coordination
  • Travel to communities to scout potential vendors or provide onsite coordination services
  • Manage project files per company guidelines to keep our team and clients informed
  • Attending regular training to stay up to date on the Uniform Relocation Act, Fair Housing, and HUD guidelines
  • Tracking personal travel and project expenses for accounting reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Strong willingness to learn and high adaptability
  • Able to communicate with a variety of personality types by phone, email, and in person
  • Able to write clearly, including letters, memoranda, and emails
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including experience with Excel
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, working with limited supervision
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel within the United States
  • English/Spanish Bilingual preferred but not required

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
