Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Track planned vs. actual progress and highlight delays or deviations.
- Coordinate with site engineers to ensure accurate daily and weekly progress reporting.
- Assist in updating lookahead schedules and resource forecasts.
2. Technical Coordination
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to identify technical requirements and coordinate with engineering teams.
- Maintain and monitor logs for technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, material submittals, ensuring timely submission and approvals.
- Liaise with consultants and clients to follow up on pending submissions, clarifications, and approvals.
- Coordinate with site teams to incorporate approved drawings and ensure all technical documents are updated and communicated.
- Assist in preparing method statements, technical reports, compliance statements, and construction proposals.
- Support resolution of technical issues by coordinating with design teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure that technical documentation aligns with contractual requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain design-change logs, variation logs, and revision records.
3. Procurement Coordination
- Prepare detailed material requisitions, ensuring accuracy of quantities, specifications, and required delivery dates.
- Conduct technical and commercial comparisons for materials and subcontractor proposals to support procurement decisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain datasheets, compliance documents, material samples, and quotations.
- Monitor and update procurement schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and installation sequences.
- Follow up with the Procurement Department to expedite purchase orders and track approval stages.
- Track material production, dispatch, shipment, and delivery to ensure no disruption to site activities.
- Coordinate with logistics teams, warehouse, and site engineers to manage receiving, inspections, and storage of materials.
- Maintain and update procurement logs, ensuring all documents—POs, invoices, material inspections, and delivery notes—are properly recorded.
- Assist in evaluating subcontractor performance, contract compliance, and delivery commitments.
- Support the Project Manager in identifying procurement risks, potential shortages, and mitigation plans.
4. BOQ & Cost Control Support
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and updating BOQs, material take-offs, and quantity checks.
- Coordinate with QS/Estimation teams to validate quantities and budget impacts.
- Support cost tracking and maintain logs for materials, subcontractors, and variations.
- Help compile pricing for change requests or variations.
5. Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the main coordination point between site teams, engineering, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, follow-up trackers, and circulate updates to all stakeholders.
- Track and close all project action items to support smooth workflow.
6. Qualifications & Skills
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of construction project coordination experience.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, technical documentation, and procurement procedures.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and document control systems.
