Project Design Coordinator (Power Plant / Power Generation Projects) - KSA
Are you an experienced engineering professional with strong design coordination expertise across power generation or power plant projects? We are seeking a Project Design Coordinator to work on behalf of the Client, based in Jeddah or Riyadh (KSA).
This role plays a key part in the delivery of major energy infrastructure projects, ensuring effective coordination of engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary teams, consultants, EPC contractors, and key stakeholders.

Local employment contract Full-time (100%)
Full Package will be SAR 22000 maximum.
Experience Requirements (Key Criteria)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in large power plant / power generation projects
- Proven track record coordinating engineering deliverables and working with multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with:
- Combined cycle plants / power generation infrastructure
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Preferred proficiency in:
- Project scheduling tools: MS Project / Primavera
- Document management systems: SharePoint, Aconex, ThinkProject, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key focal point between the Client, Design Review Consultant, EPC Contractor, design consultants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
- Track design and engineering submissions in line with the Master Document List (MDL)
- Coordinate review and approval processes for engineering deliverables (designs, drawings, specifications, reports) ensuring compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure timely distribution of deliverables and maintain transparent communication on submission status and timelines
- Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for deliverable reviews, approvals, and submissions; monitor progress and proactively flag risks/delays
- Organise and lead regular coordination meetings (weekly / bi-weekly / monthly), including:
- Preparation of agendas
- Minutes and meeting notes
- Action lists and follow-up tracking
- Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders and senior management
- Maintain full documentation records of submissions, approvals, revisions, and engineering correspondence
- Identify and manage risks related to engineering deliverables (quality, delays, compliance), including maintaining and updating a risk register
- Support change management: ensure changes are documented, communicated, reviewed, approved, and tracked for impact on scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide structured updates on key deliverables, milestones, issues, and project progress
Required Education & Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Preferably approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with reporting / MIS tools
- Leadership ability and attention to detail
