PCI certified plants in Georgia, Colorado, and Arizona, EnCon supplies prestressed and precast systems for Office Building, Parking Structures,

Stadiums, Enclosure Systems, Industrial Projects, and DOT Infrastructure Projects. Prestressed / Precast Concrete is manufactured in a

manufacturing facility, delivered to the project site, and erected in place. The primary process steps are Sales, Estimating, Project

The Project Design Engineer is in responsible charge for the design, detailing, budget and schedule for the engineering function of our work.

The design process requires assisting the client and project development through the design process. Along with work product, preparation,

coordination and communication of project information and project details for assigned projects shall be a cornerstone of responsibility and

in accordance with agreed procedures. The Project Design Engineer will assist in departmental management through mentoring, coaching,

and training of departments staff while maintaining their ongoing projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 Preparation of required designs and details for assigned projects, with consideration of:

o Structural integrity, production safety, economical production with consideration of handling, transportation, and installation

procedures.

o Design assumptions, procedures, analysis, and results are based on company standards and procedures with consolidated results

presented in the calculation package.

o Connection design assumptions, procedures, analysis, and results are based on company standards and procedures with

consolidated results presented in the calculation packaged.

o Consideration of budget for materials, labor, and sequence may require solicitation of plant and field personnel to ensure the best

and final design concept is chosen.

o Preparation and consolidation of calculation for submission and review by others.

o Ensure that design and details are prepared and transferred to the design team or Project Manager in a clear and timely manner,

with minimum supervision.

 Assist in management of projects.

o Review and develop budgets and schedules.

o Review plans, details and specifications and provide interpretation of the same, identify deficiencies and assist with resolution.

o In an ongoing basis review project details with Project Manager, Production and Field Operations to ensure best practices.

o Ensure accuracy of work and adhere to company standards and procedures.

 Support department management with the development of staff and provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to others as required.

 Provide technical assistance to other departments as required.

 Be informed of current developments within the company and the industry and be vigilant in finding new ways to improve efficiency and

economy.

REQUIREMENTS

 4 + years precast design and project design experience.

 Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

 Understanding fundamental management and coaching principles.

 Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 Engineering related software skills.

 Ability to obtain a PE within 12 months of starting date.

 Carry out assigned tasks with a professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills,

patience, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

 Display calm and a customer-oriented attitude in fast-paced and sometimes stressful conditions and represent the Company in a

professional manner.

 Ability to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables and provide timely status updates as identified.

 Communicate technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users.

 Use of Autodesk Applications: REVIT, BIM Collaborate Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.

 Use Microsoft Applications: Office 365, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Teams is preferred

 Project Management skills are a plus: budgeting, scheduling, time tracking and progress assessment.

 Preferred experience in the Construction or Manufactured Construction industry.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
