PROJECT DESIGNER / MANAGER
- Full-time, exempt role based out Golden, CO.
- Only experienced candidates will be considered that have a loyal following of local clients built from years of relationship management seeking a long-term role.
- The role will be fully supported with assistance in design, pricing, engineering, and production, allowing the Designer to focus on clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Designer/Manager works closely with Project Management (Sales) and Leadership Team and reports to the Managing Partner. This person must be adaptable, creative, thrive in client-facing settings, have in-depth knowledge of cabinetry construction and casework design and manufacturing.
In this role, the Project Manager will develop cabinetry business relationships; design, bid and win cabinetry sales; work with shop leadership to plan production schedules with client needs; shepherd cabinetry projects through the design, engineering, and manufacturing process; and work to achieve the highest quality of deliverables while meeting (and exceeding) client expectations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading Business Development with Existing and New Clients
- Cultivating sales leads, including leading in-person meetings with clients on site and/or in the field
- Meeting sales goal targets set by Managing Partner with incentive opportunities
- Serving as a representative “face of the brand” in the field with clients, whether on site, at business development opportunities, or other engagements
Managing Cabinetry Projects from Point of Sale to Completion
- Receiving requests for bids and creating sales quotes with our experienced team.
- Revising sales quotes to capture client expectations in achievable engineering.
- Designing cabinetry renderings when necessary to illustrate a project to client. This will be particularly critical in design-build relationships (such as homeowners) who cannot present elevations for bidding.
- Achieving approved projects for production, which includes: Capturing project details and communicating to drafter; Continuously reviewing AutoCAD drawings to meet DC&D standards of construction and client expectations; Managing (and checking) client redlines with drafter; Completing VIF measurements with Field Team Member prior to approved drawings; Achieving all required project approvals necessary for production; Continuous communication with Client during project production; Performing walkthrough after project’s significant completion to establish known punchlist items and communicate to Field Team and/or Shop Leads. The Project Manager will circle back to a specific job to ensure client satisfaction and drive the completion of a project.

Advocating for the Implementation of Design and Construction Trends in Cabinetry to Attract Clientele and Drive DC&D’s Relevance in Industry

Pay: $50,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
