Account Manager / Project Designer

The Position

Contract Design is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Project Designer to plan, manage, and execute commercial furnishing projects from concept through completion. This role requires regular interaction with clients including end users, Architecture & Design firms, and Project Managers.

This is a full-time position with standard office hours of Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work as project demands require.

Location

This position will be based in our new Billings, Montana office and includes occasional travel. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, capable of producing independently, and driven to help expand Contract Design’s presence in a new market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects
  • Develop space plans, specifications, and design solutions aligned with client needs and budgets
  • Coordinate project timelines, pricing, and execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to market growth

Qualifications

  • Interior Design background (education and/or professional experience)
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proven sales experience with a successful track record
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on complex, multi-faceted projects
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work closely with management
  • Working knowledge of the commercial furniture industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technology proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, CET Designer

Contract Design (CD) is a leading commercial furniture dealership in the Mountain West, with offices in Missoula, Bozeman, and Billings, Montana. We are an Authorized MillerKnoll dealer, serving clients across Higher Education, Healthcare, Corporate, Hospitality, and Government sectors.

We are seeking a talented Account Manager with an Interior Design background who is excited to grow with our team and play a key role in expanding our Billings presence.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Pay: $30,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
