Project Designer/Estimator

Atlantic Installation Company is an Industrial and Mechanical Equipment Services Company seeking a Project Designer/Estimator to assist in producing layouts, drawings , parts design and creating bills of materials for material handling equipment such as pallet rack, mezzanines, shelving, conveyors, industrial curtains, and other industrial equipment. As we continue to grow, we are searching for a candidate who has shown a continued dedication to their craft, including: mechanical engineers, to join our team.

Responsibilities :

Hours of work: 8AM - 4:30PM Mon - Fri, occasional Overtime and Weekend Work.

Draft and analyze drawings, layouts and flow designs for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing and retail facilities using AutoCAD, Configura and other programs.

Assist Project Managers by preparing BOMs, analyzing vendors/suppliers and creating proposals.

Follow directions from Supervisors and Managers.

Basic Requirements:

Ability to pass background check and drug test.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.

Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities.

Strong attention to detail and note taking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read blueprints, drawings and installation instructions.

Possess have a high level of electro-mechanial skill.

Experience with AutoDesk, Inventor, Configura CET, or other drafting programs.

Experience with building and tinkering.

On-the-job training with an introductory period of 90 days from date of hire.
