The Department of Community Engagement is accepting applications for the Project Director position.
Handle the day-to-day operations of the Planning and Development of the John R. Lynch Corridor and Ebony Theatre.
Oversee the conditions assessment, national register nomination, develop a for profit aim for J.R. Lynch Street.
Oversee new market tax credits and historic preservation tax credits.
Collect oral histories and artifacts related for the corridor.
Grant writing and reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
A graduate degree in historic preservation, architecture, or related fields (history, archaeology, urban planning), paired with 3 - 5+ years of professional experience, including supervisory roles.
Key competencies include knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards, regulatory compliance (Section 106), and project management.
Strong leadership, budget management, grant writing, economic development and community engagement abilities.
Managing, directing, and evaluating complex preservation projects from conception to completion.
