Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for leading the construction logistics and supervision team to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on civil works, roads, and utility networks. The role ensures that all works are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contract specifications and authority requirements.
The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary site teams, including engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and contractors, while ensuring efficient coordination of all logistics, construction activities, and stakeholder interfaces.
We envisage success in this role to include;

Extensive Logistics Construction Management experience, including successful project completion and hand-over.
Leading and manage construction supervision activities across civil infrastructure, roadworks, and utility installations.
Overseeing site teams including engineers, inspectors, and surveyors to ensure quality, safety, and progress targets are achieved.
Managing and coordinate logistics planning for large-scale infrastructure works, including access, material handling, sequencing, and site utilization.
Supervising execution of roadworks (earthworks, grading, subgrade, sub-base, asphalt, and pavement works).
Overseeing installation of utilities networks, including:
Water supply systems
Sewerage and stormwater drainage
Irrigation networks
Dry utilities (ducting, telecom corridors, etc.)
Ensuring compliance with local authority standards and regulations (e.g., municipality and utility authorities).
Reviewing, monitoring, and validate contractor’s construction programs and progress against approved schedules.
Preparing and present monthly progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
Reviewing and certify contractor payment applications and issue interim payment certificates.
Chairing and lead progress meetings, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Identifying and resolve interface and coordination issues between civil, road, and utility works.
Ensuring implementation of QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and compliance with project specifications.
Monitoring project costs, logistics efficiency, and productivity to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project as well as delegating work to senior colleagues and their teams Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and managers to report on progress

Effective logistics management success to enhance efficiency and productivity of the project progress and overall impact on cost and time.

Significant knowledge and proven leadership experience gained from an engineering consultancy background, having managed construction projects along with a thorough knowledge of project management processes and systems.

Experience reviewing and managing the contractor’s progress and preparing progress reports on a monthly basis.

Reviewing and approving of contractor’s payment requests and issue payment certificates as appropriate.

Scheduling and chairing site progress site meetings.

Excellent communication skills along with the ability to develop and maintain successful client relationships.
Qualifications:
