Project Director - Data Centres

Our Client

A specialist EPC contractor in the Middle East, this company designs, builds and operates critical infrastructure, particularly large-scale data centre, utilities and MEP systems—across the GCC region. With a focus on turnkey delivery, off-site prefabrication, and strict quality, safety and sustainability standards, the firm supports clients with end-to-end engineering, procurement, construction and operations services.

The Role

This person will be responsible for overseeing the full delivery of the project, this role ensures effective planning, resource allocation, and day-to-day management in line with project and quality management systems. It involves coordinating with head office for support and procurement, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and authorities, and ensuring all site personnel are trained and compliant with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with company, quality, and HSE standards.
• Act as the main liaison with the Client, Main Contractor, Consultants, and relevant authorities to maintain smooth project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and resources to ensure alignment with the approved programme and budget.
• Lead internal progress meetings, resolve pending issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate manpower planning, procurement, and site operations with the Project Manager and supporting teams.
• Ensure timely submission of payment applications and manage cash flow in accordance with contract requirements.
• Identify, prepare, and submit claims or extensions of time in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor.
• Review and approve technical documentation, design inputs/outputs, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Enforce compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures across all site activities.
• Manage project close-out, including defect resolution, document control, and contractual compliance.
