Project Director - Design Consultancy & Supervision

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee large-scale projects from design through supervision. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure project delivery excellence, manage client relationships, and direct multidisciplinary teams within a consultancy and supervision environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects across all phases, including planning, design coordination, tendering, construction supervision, and project closeout.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide strategic direction to project managers, discipline leads, and supervision teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve project deliverables, reports, technical submissions, and recommendations.
• Support business development activities, client acquisition, and proposal preparation.
• Mentor and develop engineering, project management, and supervision staff.
• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Must be a Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer and possess approvals/accreditations from other relevant UAE governing authorities, as applicable.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in engineering consultancy and construction supervision.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale building, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, or government projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Professional registration or certification (PMP, PE, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent) is preferred.
