The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating engineering, technical, and construction activities to ensure successful project execution. This role bridges the gap between design, procurement, and site execution teams, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day management and execution of project activities.
  • Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy and constructability.
  • Track progress and ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones.
  • Provide technical input to resolve site issues and design discrepancies.
  • Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals before submission.
  • Ensure that construction works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical matters.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and monitor workmanship on-site.
  • Support QA/QC and safety teams in implementing project standards and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken for any non-conformances.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
  • Support the preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring material usage and controlling wastage.
  • Support procurement by preparing material requisitions and verifying deliveries.
  • Coordinate with planning and cost control teams to track project performance.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on site progress and technical issues.
  • Ensure effective communication between the site team, consultants, and the client.
  • Address client concerns in coordination with the Project Manager.
