Key Responsibilities -
- Take full ownership of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, leading cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and successful launch of new manufacturing programs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring that all activities are aligned with customer expectations and company objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project status, fostering trust and reinforcing the company's reputation as a reliable and high-performing supplier.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, quality, and executive leadership, throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to technical feasibility, cost, quality, safety, and delivery timelines.
- Design and implement robust manufacturing processes to consistently meet or exceed product specifications and quality standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including CAD drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Standard Rates, PFMEAs, Work Instructions, and Quality Control Plans.
- Collaborate closely with Tooling Engineers and Design teams to develop, validate, and implement custom tooling and inspection gauges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the research and development of innovative manufacturing technologies and process enhancements.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated success in launching complex products.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, press brake forming, metal stamping, MIG and projection welding, and complex mechanical assemblies.
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Familiar with PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD-based sheet metal design.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
