Project Engineer – Civil & Structural (UAE)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will oversee site execution activities, ensuring the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of all civil and structural works. You will play a key role in coordinating with subcontractors, managing resources, maintaining documentation, and supporting the Project Manager throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor daily civil and structural construction activities
• Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate manpower and sequencing with subcontractors
• Check site measurements, levels, and progress

2. Quality & Technical Compliance

• Ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards
• Work closely with QA/QC teams for inspections
• Review drawings and provide technical clarifications
• Prepare and raise RFIs for discrepancies

3. Resource & Material Management

• Verify daily manpower and equipment usage
• Raise material requests ahead of time to avoid delays
• Track material deliveries and report shortages or delays
• Coordinate with procurement and store teams

4. Subcontractor Coordination

• Assign and monitor subcontractor work fronts
• Check workmanship quality and productivity
• Maintain records for subcontractor billing
• Report performance issues to Project Manager

5. Safety & Site Discipline

• Enforce compliance with HSE rules and PPE requirements
• Conduct toolbox talks
• Report unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents
• Coordinate with Safety Officers for inspections

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
• Maintain registers: RFI, MIR, WIR, material logs, site diaries
• Track and report issues, delays, and progress to Project Manager

7. Client/Consultant Coordination (as delegated)

• Arrange and support site inspections
• Assist during client/consultant visits
• Address feedback and implement corrective actions

8. Team Management

• Manage and guide Site Supervisors
• Review supervisors’ logs, checklists, and daily tasks
• Ensure discipline, productivity, and workflow efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in civil/structural site engineering (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, QA/QC processes, and HSE guidelines
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site resources
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proficiency in site documentation and progress tracking
