Job Overview
The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery in line with client expectations and industry standards in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost estimation.
- Coordinate and supervise engineering and construction activities on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.
- Monitor work progress, ensure compliance with quality standards, and adhere to project timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to assess technical issues, safety risks, and execution quality.
- Prepare and submit project reports, progress updates, and documentation to management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory authorities for permits, approvals, and coordination.
- Identify potential risks and propose corrective measures to mitigate delays or non-conformities.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance at all stages of project execution.
- Participate in project meetings, stakeholder briefings, and client reviews to ensure expectations are met.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating materials, equipment, and service providers.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in construction, MEP, infrastructure, or related engineering sectors.
- Proven experience working on mid to large-scale projects in the UAE or Gulf region is highly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, engineering standards, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera (P6), and other engineering software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients and stakeholders.
- Good understanding of HSE standards, quality assurance, and compliance procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Leadership capability with team supervision experience preferred.
