Job Title: Project Engineer – Fire Protection and Detection System

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Fighting Installation Project Engineer to oversee and manage fire protection systems installation projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of hands-on experience in fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire pumps, fire alarms, and suppression systems, and will be responsible for ensuring all projects meet regulatory standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage fire protection system installation projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare layouts, and coordinate with design teams to ensure accurate execution of fire protection system plans.
• Oversee installation of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, and suppression systems, in accordance with local codes and standards (UAE Civil Defence and NFPA standards).
• Manage and guide installation teams, monitor site progress, and resolve any issues or discrepancies on-site.
• Conduct or oversee the testing and commissioning of installed systems, ensuring they function effectively and meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure materials are available and installations meet project timelines.
• Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure installed systems function as required, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, budgets, and compliance reports.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety procedures are strictly followed on all project sites.
• Liaise with Dubai Civil Defence and other regulatory bodies for necessary approvals and inspections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in fire protection system installation and project management, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
• Experienced in Hotel, DATA Centre and High raise Residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE fire codes, NFPA standards, and Dubai Civil Defence regulations.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fire safety system layouts.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
