Project Engineer (Renovation & Swimming Pools)

Reports To: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Location: Office & Site (Dubai / UAE)

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution, coordination, and compliance of renovation and swimming pool works on site. The role ensures that approved drawings, specifications, and method statements are correctly implemented while coordinating between structural, architectural, MEP, and pool-related works.

This role does not carry structural design authority and works strictly under approved consultant drawings.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Execution & Coordination

• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and swimming pool drawings for constructability.
• Coordinate execution of:
• Renovation works (civil, finishes, MEP)
• Swimming pool works including structure, waterproofing, piping, tiling, and equipment installation.
• Resolve technical conflicts between trades and escalate design issues to consultants.
• Ensure works are executed strictly as per approved drawings and specifications.

2. Swimming Pool–Specific Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction and renovation of swimming pools including:
• Pool shell preparation
• Waterproofing systems
• Hydraulic piping and fittings
• Installation of pumps, filters, heaters, chlorination/salt systems
• Pool finishes and coping
• Review pool equipment submittals and shop drawings.
• Coordinate pool testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Liaise with pool specialists, technicians, and suppliers.

3. Site Support & Supervision

• Support Site Supervisors and Foremen with:
• Method statements
• Sequencing of works
• Technical clarifications
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in resolving site constraints and execution challenges.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with:
• Approved drawings
• Project specifications
• Local authority and safety requirements
• Identify potential rework risks and prevent execution errors.
• Participate in inspections and snag resolution.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and review:
• Method statements
• Material submittals
• Shop drawings (as required)
• Maintain technical records, revisions, and approvals.
• Provide technical input for:
• Variations
• Progress reports
• Handover documentation

6. Project Management and Estimation

• Costing: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for new inquiries, calculating the exact amount of concrete, steel, tiles, and MEP equipment required.
• Approvals: Handle technical submissions for Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, or Nakheel to obtain NOCs and building permits.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues in older pools (leaks, pump failures, green water) and propose renovation solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years UAE experience in renovation / villa construction
• Hands-on experience with swimming pool construction

Preferred

• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (for shop drawings) and Excel (for costing).
• License: Valid UAE Driving License (Mandatory).
• Certification: Dubai Municipality / SOE (Society of Engineers) registration is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
