The Project Engineer supports the planning, execution, and delivery of interior fit-out projects, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role acts as a key link between site execution, design, procurement, and project management teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Site Coordination

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing fit-out works (civil, MEP, finishes, joinery, FF&E).
  • Coordinate daily site activities to ensure progress aligns with project schedules.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Monitor material deliveries and site logistics.

Technical & Engineering Support

  • Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and specifications.
  • Prepare and track shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Identify discrepancies in drawings and coordinate resolutions with consultants and designers.
  • Support value engineering initiatives where applicable.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, standards, and client requirements.
  • Assist in implementing QA/QC procedures and inspection requests.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site safety regulations.
  • Participate in inspections, snagging, and handover activities.

Planning & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing project schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress reports.
  • Track site progress and report delays or risks to the Project Manager.
  • Support cost control by monitoring variations, reworks, and wastage.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Attend site meetings and prepare minutes of meeting when required.
  • Support procurement by providing technical clarifications and material requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in interior fit-out or contracting projects.
  • Strong understanding of fit-out works (finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, MEP coordination).
  • Experience working on commercial, retail, hospitality, or office fit-out projects preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
