Project Engineer – High-Rise Building Project

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Project Engineer with solid experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects to support project execution, coordination, and technical management. The candidate will act as a key link between site teams, consultants, and project management to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Coordinate between site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and management.
• Monitor overall project progress and ensure alignment with approved schedules.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of works.
• Attend project meetings and prepare coordination reports.

Technical Management

• Review and coordinate shop drawings, IFC drawings, and technical submissions.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications and design requirements.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions on site.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, and MEP teams for design integration.

Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Track project milestones and report delays or risks.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with the Planning Engineer to ensure schedule adherence.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure works are executed in accordance with QA/QC standards.
• Review inspection requests (IRs) and coordinate approvals with consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and relevant authority requirements.

Cost & Materials Coordination

• Monitor material usage and coordinate procurement with the supply team.
• Assist in reviewing variations, cost implications, and change orders.
• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor for material and work quantities.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain project documentation including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
• Prepare technical reports and updates for management.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in building construction projects.
• Proven experience in high-rise projects in UAE/GCC is required.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic knowledge of Primavera or MS Project (preferred)
• Strong understanding of:
• Construction methodologies
• Shop drawing coordination
• Project documentation and reporting

Preferred Requirements

• UAE driving license
• Experience with main contractors in Dubai
• Familiarity with local authority approvals and procedures
