Project Engineer Battery Electric Vehicle Engineer
As a BEV electric vehicle project engineer you will be involved in developing and testing advanced prototype and production electric vehicles. FEV NA, Inc. is seeking qualified Electrical and Electronics Engineers to fill a position in the highly competitive development and integration market.
Requirements:- Experience in BEV chassis dynamometer testing environment and DAQ systems
- Strong knowledge of SAE J1634 BEV Energy Consumption and Ranger Test Procedure
- Strong knowledge of CFR1066 requirements
- Working knowledge of BEV high and low electrical systems
- Able to become qualified in high voltage system implementation for instrumentation
- Understanding of automotive network design (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Working knowledge of E-motor and battery systems
- Good understanding of vehicle control system requirements
- Must be able to lead technically and provide guidance
- Create effective test plans, coordinate project testing team, and develop presentation style reports
- Professional communication skills
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering
- Candidates with master's degree preferred
- Experience in automotive industry preferred
- Understanding or ability to become proficient with the following tools used in automotive applications
- ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, HBK Perception
- Vector CANape, CANalyzer
- MATLAB/Simulink
