Project Engineer - Civil Construction

Position : Project Engineer - Civil Construction

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and scheduling project timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications and provide technical support as needed.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Track materials, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability on-site.
• Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders.
• Participate in site inspections and quality control processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation including project files, logs, and reports.
• Support cost tracking, budgeting, and resource management.
• Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting tools is a plus.

• A multitasker who can handle the nuances of a building construction project.
