Project Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to support the planning, execution, and completion of electrical works for construction project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with UAE codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, execution, and monitoring of electrical works
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs for accuracy and constructability
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical reports
• Supervise site activities related to LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, and ELV systems
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, ADDC/ADWEA standards, and project specifications
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose corrective actions
• Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment
• Manage subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Arabic speaker a preference).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical projects within the UAE (Abu Dhabi experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with ADDC/ADWEA, (if applicable), and local authority standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools
• Good understanding of construction sequences and site coordination
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-rise buildings, villas projects
• Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures
• Preferably Arabic speaking
• Immediate availability or short notice period

Pay: From AED8,000.00 per month
