Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to manage and oversee electrical works for MEP projects from planning through execution and handover. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical installation activities at project sites.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of electrical works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities for electrical systems.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate procurement activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on-site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements including DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, ADDC, and Civil Defense regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and earthing systems.
• Experience managing electrical works for commercial, residential, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong project coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of UAE electrical standards and authority regulations.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
