Position Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and executing all technical and site-related activities for high-rise building projects from project initiation to final handover. This includes planning, site execution, quality control, cost monitoring, and coordination with consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Mobilization
- Review IFC drawings, project specifications, BOQ, and contract documents.
- Assist in developing project schedules, manpower loading, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with procurement for materials, equipment, and subcontractor finalization.
- Plan and supervise site mobilization and setting out of the structure.
2. Execution & Site Coordination
- Supervise and monitor construction works for structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and Dubai Municipality standards.
- Coordinate daily with site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with Consultants and Project Manager.
3. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Implement QA/QC procedures for concrete works, finishing, façade, and MEP installations.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and ensure approval of MIRs and RFIs.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and conduct toolbox talks with safety teams.
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily/weekly progress and ensure activities align with the master program.
- Highlight delays or risks and propose recovery plans.
- Prepare site reports, logs, and documentation for management and consultant review.
5. Coordination with Stakeholders
- Liaise with Consultants, Client Representatives, Subcontractors, and Government Authorities (DM, DCD, DEWA, Etisalat, etc.).
- Attend technical and progress meetings and ensure timely closure of action points.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate snagging, de-snagging, material reconciliation, and as-built documentation.
- Assist in testing and commissioning of MEP systems and obtain completion certificates.
- Support the Project Manager in final handover and close-out procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5+ years of UAE experience in high-rise building construction from foundation to handover.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality codes, DCD, DEWA, and local authority procedures.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Project Planning tools (Primavera/MSP preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
