About the Role
Project Support Services (PSS) is seeking a Project Engineer II to support the Los Angeles Community College District Program Management Office. This role provides project coordination, QAQC support, field verification, reporting, and technical assistance across multiple active construction projects.

You will work closely with PMO staff, College Project Teams, and campus stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with SOPs and KPIs, and timely quality control support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and coordination support to QAQC
  • Participate in and lead QAQC meetings
  • Conduct field checks and site walks to verify compliance with KPIs and other assessment criteria
  • Support CPTs and PMO on SOP, KPI, and assessment matters
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, procedures, and written materials
  • Develop monthly project status reports for active construction projects
  • Review construction change orders, field orders, and contracts
  • Manage data collection for reporting and coordinate with CPT/PMO
  • Review project risks and assist with project status reporting
  • Facilitate QAQC issue resolution
  • Generate meeting minutes and maintain project files
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of KPIs
  • Maintain trending reports, including RFIs and CCDs
  • Support CPT workshops and SOP GAP analysis
  • Assist with audits, process improvements, and ongoing assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of recent experience in a similar project or construction related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field

(Additional experience may substitute year for year)

  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel between LACCD campuses
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential matters
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong initiative and decision making ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on educational programs or public works projects
  • Experience with Trimble Unity Construct
  • Experience with audits
  • Experience supporting large capital programs

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
