TWL is seeking a highly driven and meticulous Project Engineer to coordinate and supervise landscaping projects on-site. The role focuses on ensuring efficient resource utilization, adherence to project schedules, strict quality control, and compliance with safety standards. The Project Engineer will serve as a critical link between design, operations, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineering specialists to ensure proper implementation of design concepts
- Oversee the installation of landscape elements, including lighting, drainage, irrigation, hardscapes, and green areas
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, construction standards, and quality control guidelines
- Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines
Technical Support & Quality Assurance
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality checks to ensure all work meets technical drawings, engineering requirements, and industry standards
- Provide technical guidance on soil testing, drainage systems, grading, and material selection
- Review and assess construction plans to ensure designs are feasible and suitable for site conditions
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement viable solutions to maintain project progress
Cost & Resource Management
- Assist in preparing material take-offs, quantities, and cost estimates for landscaping materials and labor
- Ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to minimize costs and prevent wastage
- Maintain detailed records of project-related expenditures and report budget adjustments or cost overruns
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect workers, clients, and the environment
- Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and compliance certificates
Reporting & Client Coordination
- Prepare progress reports, status updates, and technical documentation for project managers and clients
- Maintain detailed logs of work completed, materials used, and changes to the original project scope
- Coordinate and communicate with clients to resolve issues, provide updates, and ensure client satisfaction
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, civil construction, or similar projects
- Proven experience supervising residential and commercial landscaping projects
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and site supervision
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team
